As a graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Journalism department, I am looking forward to the next stage of my journey.
I am passionately drawn to the art of storytelling. Technology is not only changing the way we absorb information, but we are all beginning to recognize technology’s profound effect on the way we think and behave. I believe trusted storytellers –that hold truth sacred– ground the trembling world we live in.
News stations across the country are yearning to relate and recapture a distracted 24 to 39-year-old audience. Audiences’ shrinking attention spans demand visual, energetic storytelling. I am confident I can add value to a news team by infusing an energy, storytelling slant, and on-air presence that will resonate with this desired demographic.
I am trained to be a one-man-band: producing and shooting video, writing the script, on-air reporting, editing in Final Cut Pro, and uploading footage to the Internet or studio server. I pride myself in my ability to manage expectations and accomplish my objectives with a respect for the ever-present ticking-clock.
I look forward to finding a career home where I can truly make a difference.
